Tech CU Wins Three Marketing Association for Credit Unions (MAC) Awards
Silver for Its Website Redesign; Bronze for Its Comprehensive Advertising Campaign; Bronze for Its Branch Redesign and Digital Signage
SAN JOSE, CA–(Marketwired – June 14, 2016) – Tech CU (Technology Credit Union) today announced it won three awards from the Marketing Association for Credit Unions (MAC), an organization that recognizes outstanding credit union marketing achievements. The company won silver for its website redesign, bronze for its integrated advertising campaign and bronze for its branch redesign and digital signage in the Point of Sale/Retail Merchandising Category.
Specifically, the awards recognize:
- The website’s fresh look and feel, along with multi-platform accessibility, intuitive navigation, enhanced product pages and added-value services such as free credit monitoring. It also highlights Tech CU’s educational tools and resources designed to help members with financial decision-making — including research, calculators, articles and videos.
- The company’s “Bank Happily Ever After” advertising campaign, showcasing Tech CU’s ability to understand consumers’ pain and frustration with big banks, while offering a better alternative: Tech CU is large enough to provide all the access and convenience one expects of a big bank, and small enough to offer exceptional, personalized service.
- Tech CU’s innovative branch design and digital signage. The branch design includes state-of-the-art technology, video conferencing, hoteling space and conference rooms for member use, and a floor plan designed to facilitate one-on-one conversations. The digital signage content enables members to learn about personal finance and explore products and services. It features interactive touch-screens with videos, a “Discovery Table” with tablets, a “Wow Wall” (4 large flat-screens that together display a single rotating image) and an interactive timeline of Tech CU’s history.
“We’re so pleased to be recognized for our new website, digital signage content and ad campaign,” said Kate Duggan, SVP of Marketing. “We’ve focused on improving the member experience — making personal finance easier and more understandable — and communicating that Tech CU has our members’ best interests at heart.”
“Feedback on the new branch design has been very positive,” added Debra Bowman, SVP of Retail Banking for Tech CU. “People tell us they like the intimacy of the space — that it doesn’t ‘feel like a bank,’ when they walk in. We also have several members who are now regularly using the conference rooms for their personal business meetings.”
“I’d like to thank and congratulate all the teams that made our new website, branch redesign, digital signage and advertising campaign successful. Our goal as an organization is to make sure that everything we do best serves our members — enabling them to learn more about their finances, gain insight from our experts, explore products that meet their needs and transact easily,” said Todd Harris, President and CEO. “We believe that each of these initiatives delivers on our mission to provide technology and personal expertise that inspire, educate and empower our members to succeed financially.”
