Masaref shakes up the Egyptian banking industry
LONDON, Aug. 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — As economic growth in Egypt continues to pick up, thanks to increased foreign investment and robust domestic consumption, stability endures in Egypt’s financial sector. Against this positive backdrop, a number of key financial players in Egypt are pressing forward with innovation and expansion – bringing with them new standards and opportunities across the industry.
One such player is Masaref BSC. Founded in 2014, this nimble company, which was interviewed in the latest issue of World Finance, is already making waves in the country.
An official partner of software group Temenos, Masaref specialises in implementing the cutting-edge Temenos T24 Core Banking system. The company designs and develops interfaces and other processes that help clients to achieve integration with the system, as well as optimal functionality.
Not resting on its laurels, the company has recently partnered up with Bangalore-headquartered Relifin Technologies to create a new entity, which focuses on expansion in the Asia Pacific region and the Middle East. Branded under the name iDigitos, this new company, which boasts more than 150 consultants, specialises in servicing the digital transformation of financial institutions.
Masaref also works closely with NetGuardians, a Swiss company that provides anti-fraud systems for banks, and HID Global, a leading name in the field of online authentication services for digital banking.
Microfinance is another pillar of Masaref’s current strategy. As such, the company has been working closely with Giza-headquartered Sandah, supporting the implementation of its new microfinance system until it successfully goes live. Numerous other projects in the Middle East are also underway.
