Gesa Credit Union and Nymbus launch ValorFI Heroes, a digital banking platform for US veterans and first responders
Gesa Credit Union has joined hands with cloud-core banking solutions provider Nymbus to launch ValorFI Heroes, a digital banking platform designed for military veterans, educators, healthcare workers, first responders, and law enforcement officers in the US.
The platform launches this week with an offering comprising current and high-yield savings accounts, money market accounts and certificates of deposit, which are supported by a Visa debit card and a dedicated mobile app.
Deposits made into these accounts are held with Gesa Credit Union, which itself claims to serve over 260,000 members from its headquarters in Richland, Washington.
In addition to banking services, the platform allows users to make charitable donations to non-profit organisations through its Giving Center, or Everyday Impact function, which matches donation pledges with daily transactions.
These giving capabilities are embedded into ValorFI Heroes by Nymbus partner Spiral, a social impact fintech based in New York.
Nymbus, led by chairman and CEO Jeffery Kendall, notably also came together with Massachusetts-headquartered community bank PeoplesBank to launch Employer-led Bank and Union Workers Financial Services (UWFS) in October.
The two products aim to “improve workplace finance by offering solutions that strengthen benefits packages and foster long-term employee loyalty”.
