Mambu acquires French paytech Numeral for undisclosed sum
Core banking technology vendor Mambu has acquired French paytech Numeral for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2021 by CEO Édouard Mandon and Camille Tyan (now deputy CEO at Swan, a France-based provider of embedded banking services), Numeral offers payment technology solutions for banks and fintechs, working with institutions like BNP Paribas, HSBC, and Barclays to streamline payment processing through its payments hub solution and access schemes.
Numeral, which extended its footprint into the UK last year, claims to process over €10 billion in payments annually.
Mambu will now integrate Numeral’s payments platform into its own core banking platform, delivering “a more modern, comprehensive payment offering”, says CEO Fernando Zandona.
Mambu hopes this acquisition will play a key role in helping the company expand its presence in the bank payments market.
It adds that any “new and not-yet-live customers” can utilise Numeral’s tech from “day one”, while clients that “already have a payment solution in place will have the option to upgrade”.
