CommonWealth Central Credit Union taps Jack Henry for tech upgrade
US-based CommonWealth Central Credit Union has partnered with financial solutions provider Jack Henry to revamp its technology infrastructure and strike new growth opportunities.
The partnership includes Jack Henry’s core platform which, fitted with open API architecture, will enable the credit union to “collaborate with third parties of choice or develop competitive solutions independently”, according to the vendor’s statement.
With $632 million in assets, CommonWealth is now planning to leverage the platform to “create new products and services” for the 40,000 members it serves across San Jose, California. This also includes operational enhancements for both back office functions and member-facing employees.
Val Ovrootsky, chief information officer at CommonWealth, says Jack Henry “provides us with the scalable infrastructure we need to grow and deliver modern banking services and tools to members,” and will “help guide our strategy and technology plans”.
These developments are to run alongside a number of technology partnerships currently maintained by CommonWealth as a full-service credit union, including the integration of Venminder’s third-party risk management software, and a long-standing collaboration with Trellance for business analytics.
