Mesa Launches First-Ever Premium Credit Card Designed for Homeowners
New Mesa Homeowners Card allows homeowners to earn rewards on mortgage payments and home-related expenses for the first time
AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Mesa, the first homeowner membership platform, today announced the launch of the Mesa Homeowners Card, the first premium credit card designed for homeowners. Cardmembers can earn Mesa Points on monthly mortgage payments and accelerated points on home-related and everyday purchases, with $0 in annual membership fees.
The Mesa Homeowners Card addresses a long-standing gap in the credit card market, where mortgage payments — typically a homeowner’s largest monthly expense — have historically gone unrewarded.
“Mesa’s mission is to make homeownership more affordable and rewarding. The Mesa Homeowners Card is an important step in that journey,” said Kelley Halpin, CEO of Mesa. “Our card gives value back to the homeowner for every dollar they spend on their home — including their mortgage payments.”
Key features of the Mesa Homeowners Card include:
- 1X Mesa Points per $1 on monthly mortgage payments — linked through the Mesa app
- 2X Mesa Points on everyday essentials, such as grocery, gas, and EV charging
- 3X Mesa Points on home-related purchases, including home improvement, decor, maintenance, utilities and more
- 1X Mesa Points on all other purchases
Mesa has reimagined the concept of premium card benefits for homeowners. Through strategic partnerships across key homeownership categories, the Mesa Homeowners Card will offer benefits worth over $800 in value, without an annual membership fee. Cardmembers will have access to home improvement credits, big-box memberships with brands like Sam’s Club, home maintenance credits with Thumbtack, and pet care credits with Wag!
“Premium credit cards have traditionally catered to urban travelers with benefits centered around travel and dining, like TSA PreCheck and lounge access. But there is a major gap for programs designed for the homeowner, whose spending habits and lifestyles have changed,” said Tina Moore, Head of Commercial at Mesa. “Homeowners are investing in their homes, managing weekly grocery shopping, and caring for their pets and kids, so we’ve reimagined premium benefits tailored to this lifestyle. By offering benefits such as big-box memberships and home improvement credits, we bring differentiated value to our members while helping our brand partners reach homeowners — some of the most valuable consumers.”
Cardmembers can redeem their Mesa Points in a variety of ways, including statement credits, gift cards, travel experiences, and even mortgage payments, giving homeowners the opportunity to reinvest Points back into their home.
The Mesa Homeowners Card is available through a waitlist process. Those interested can join the waitlist by downloading the Mesa Membership App from the App Store today. Learn more at mesamember.com.
