Old Second National Bank selects Newgen Software’s digital account opening solution
Old Second National Bank, founded in 1871 and recognised as one of the oldest banks in the US, has teamed up with Newgen Software to streamline digital customer onboarding.
The Aurora-headquartered bank will deploy the vendor’s digital account opening solution to “help automate the complete lifecycle of the account opening process”, according to a statement by Newgen.
Built on the NewgenONE low-code platform, the solution will enable Old Second to simplify online onboarding capabilities for both its retail and business banking customers and “offer a personalised and omnichannel onboarding experience”.
Newgen claims its tech “minimises authentication time, improves customer acquisition, and reduces abandonment rates”, while also offering a “user-friendly interface, strong integration capabilities with existing systems, and monitoring dashboard” among its built-in functionalities.
Speaking on the partnership, Sylvia Balogh, EVP of retail banking at Old Second, says Newgen was “extremely proactive, responsive, and accommodating throughout our RFP (request for proposal) and contract execution process”.
She adds that the bank plans to “work through the milestones with speed and efficiency” and bring “value to our customers upon implementation of the platform”.
