Swedish neobank Northmill hires Julie Chatterjee as new group CEO
Stockholm-based Northmill Bank has named Julie Chatterjee as its new group CEO. She takes the reins from Tord Topsholm, who stepped down from the position in February.
Founded in 2006, Northmill offers both retail and business banking services to more than half a million customers throughout Sweden, Norway, Finland and Poland.
Its growth efforts were supported by a $30 million investment led by M2 Asset Management and Coeli in 2019, the same year it was granted a Swedish banking licence.
Praising the neobank for its “strong foundation and streamlined infrastructure”, Chatterjee asserts that “now it’s time to continue commercialising the products and services we’ve developed”.
The bank offers products including payment cards, savings accounts, and loans for private individuals, along with payment services and point-of-sale systems for businesses.
Chatterjee joins Northmill directly from Multitude Bank, where she served as chief commercial officer and deputy CEO since 2020.
Prior this this, she spent over 16 years working for retail bank OKQ8 Bank, eventually ascending to the role of CEO in 2014.
