LendingPoint hires ex-Mr Cooper exec Shawn Stone as CEO
LendingPoint, a US online provider of direct-to-consumer loans, has hired former Mr Cooper revenue chief Shawn Stone as its new CEO and latest board member.
Stone takes the reigns from Mark Lorimer, LendingPoint’s chief business affairs and legal officer who has served the position on an interim basis following the departure of co-founder and former CEO Tom Burnside in December.
The new CEO brings to the position more than 25 years of experience in lending and credit operations, having spent over two decades at Mr Cooper, which is claimed to be the largest home loan servicer in the US.
Stone held a plethora of leadership positions during his tenure at Mr Cooper, including executive founder and president of its real estate and mortgage services subsidiary Xome, before more recently serving as chief revenue and product officer.
He joins LendingPoint directly from the $20 billion-asset Bayview Asset Management, where he has worked as a senior advisor since March last year.
