Former Thomson Reuters exec David Larson named Feedzai’s new CFO
Anti-fraud and financial crime software firm Feedzai has appointed former Thomson Reuters exec David Larson as its new CFO.
In the role, Larson will oversee the firm’s global financial actions and is to report directly to CEO and founder, Nuno Sebastião.
Feedzai states that Larson’s “track record and deep understanding of operational dynamics” within larger corporations will culminate in a “valuable advantage as the business continues to scale”.
Moreover, Larson’s expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is cited as pivotal to his appointment, as he will be expected to assist the fintech in emerging as a potential “consolidator” in the sector.
Before joining Feedzai, Larson spent over eight years at Canadian multinational information corporation Thomson Reuters, concluding his tenure as chief strategy officer and credited with playing an “integral” role in the creation of its governance, risk and compliance division.
Commenting on the firm’s new CFO, Sebastião asserts that Larson’s “global leadership experience” will prove critical for the fintech as it enters its “next phase of growth” while it seeks “opportunities to consolidate across our space and explore potential M&A activity”.
Founded in 2011, Feedzai operates a RiskOps platform that utilises machine learning technology and big data to help prevent and detect financial crime for financial institutions.
