Money20/20 Asia unveils powerhouse line-up of Asia regulators
Money20/20, the world’s leading fintech show, regarded as the place where money does business, is bringing the most influential, progressive regulators to Money20/20 Asia taking place between 23 and 25 April at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) in Bangkok, Thailand.
Bangkok becomes Money20/20’s third host city, joining Amsterdam and Las Vegas, which welcome over 20,000 fintech and financial services professionals every year.
This year, over 60% of the more than 200 speakers participating in Money20/20 Asia hold executive positions at the C-suite level from the most important names in fintech.
The Money20/20 Asia agenda boasts big names from across the ecosystem of money including CEOs from major banks, payment companies, leading tech companies, VCs and more and also includes five of Asia’s most innovative regulators.
The regulators already confirmed to speak include Hong Kong Monetary Authority, Financial Services Agency of Japan, Securities Commission Malaysia, Department of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and the financial consumer protection group of the Bank of Thailand.

Included in the stellar line up of speakers is Dr Daranee Saej, assistant governor of the payment systems policy and financial consumer protection group at the Bank of Thailand, who will be leading the session ‘Bank of Thailand: Transforming Asian Fintech with Open Finance and Collaboration‘ on 23 April at 10:00 on the mainstage. Saej will share and explore the bank’s innovative strides in digital finance.

The agenda tackles regulation from so many perspectives. The panel discussion ‘The Clash of Regulations vs Innovation for Safety, Stability and Growth‘ on Tuesday 23 April at 14.25 delves into the clash between regulation and innovation and will provide the audience with insight into how regulatory measures can impede or drive innovation.
Panelists include Amy Yu, APAC CEO of AMINA Bank, Natsuda Bhukkanasut, co-founder and CEO of Investree, and Grace Chong, head of financial regulatory at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP.
The complex realm of cross-border payments will be discussed in the panel ‘Regulatory Maze: Navigating Challenges in Cross-Border Payments‘, where Asia’s top payment providers such as ALTPAYNET, Paypa Plane and Justpay, alongside the global regtech pioneer RegPac Revolution, will take the stage and dissect the web of regulations and compliance hurdles.
