Country Builders Bank in the Philippines selects Kiya.ai for banking tech upgrade
Country Builders Bank (CBB), a rural bank headquartered in Makati in the Philippines, has selected Indian fintech Kiya.ai to upgrade its banking infrastructure.
The bank will adopt a suite of banking solutions from the Mumbai-based fintech, specifically its core banking, loan origination and management, anti-money laundering, and mobile and internet banking digital solutions, which will be applied to both its retail and corporate operations.
CBB, which was born from the unification of Country Rural Bank of Taguig and Builders Rural Bank in 2012, currently offers savings accounts and loans, microinsurance, domestic and international remittances, and bank-to-bank transfers, among other products and services. It runs a total of 33 bank branches across the Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, and Bulacan areas of the Philippines.
The bank expects the newly adopted tech solutions to boost both its operational efficiency and revenue generating abilities, while also allowing it to expand its market footprint beyond the greater Manila area.
Ismael Sandig, president and CEO of CBB, claims that the collaboration with the fintech will power its “transformative journey” by “enhancing customer experiences, streamlining operations, and driving sustainable growth”.
