US paytech Spreedly appoints Peter Dougherty as new president
US-based payments orchestration platform Spreedly has appointed Peter Dougherty as its new president.
The paytech states Dougherty will oversee all facets of its go-to-market operations, encompassing customer success and support, sales, marketing, and partnerships.
Spreedly says its new president brings expertise in guiding and expanding global teams to boost product development and stimulate new revenue streams.
Before joining Spreedly, Dougherty worked at merchant commerce platform Lightspeed Commerce for over 12 years. During his time at the firm, he rose from being the company’s senior director of partnerships to serving as its GM and EVP of the Lightspeed restaurant division.
Headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, Spreedly provides payments orchestration technology that enables businesses to connect to payment services in over 100 countries with a single API. It currently claims that “hundreds” of global customers “secure card data in our PCI-compliant vault and use tokenised card data to enable and optimise over $50 billion of annual transaction volumes with any payment service”.
Dougherty adds to the growing list of fintech president appointments in recent months, which includes Ruben Salazar Genovez at TerraPay, Jennifer Taylor at Plaid, and Karandeep Anand at Brex.
