Jennifer Taylor joins Plaid as the company’s first president
San Francisco-headquartered open banking fintech Plaid has appointed Jennifer Taylor as the company’s first president.

Taylor joins the fintech from Cloudflare, where she served as chief product officer (CPO) for the past seven years. Earlier in her career, she also led product strategies at Salesforce, Meta, and Adobe.
Founded in 2013, Plaid provides APIs enabling consumers to connect their bank accounts to various fintechs and make payments via open banking.
Commenting on the appointment in a blog post, Zachary Perret, co-founder and CEO of Plaid, describes Taylor as a “product leader”, adding that her “experience scaling products to meet increasing customer demand” will be “invaluable” to the company as it looks to scale.
Taylor, who will oversee the company’s tech and product teams, joins Eric Hart as another recent addition to Plaid’s leadership team. Hart was appointed as the company’s first chief financial officer (CFO) last October.
The two new additions have prompted industry speculation that the company is laying the groundwork for a potential initial public offering (IPO) in the future.
Plaid last raised an undisclosed amount of funding in a Series D extension in August 2021, which added to the initial $425 million Series D cash injection it received four months prior at a valuation of $13.5 billion.
