UK paytech Volt brings in former Stripe Europe CEO Matt Henderson as special advisor
UK paytech Volt has appointed former Stripe, Google and Amazon executive Matt Henderson as a special advisor to its board.
Henderson was CEO of Stripe’s Europe operations for three years, overseeing a range of functions for the company including product engineering, strategy and operations.
Prior to Stripe, Henderson was director of product management for Google, a role he took on after the company’s 2014 acquisition of Rangespan, a supplier management and e-commerce analytics firm he co-founded with Ryan Regan. Earlier in his career, he also served at Amazon for nearly seven years, progressing to the role of product director.
Volt says Henderson joins at a “critical inflection point” for the company, after it recently raised $60 million in a Series B funding round.
Commenting on the new addition, Tom Greenwood, founder and CEO of Volt, says Henderson’s “deep knowledge of the sector, combined with his track record of success, will be pivotal for Volt”.
“As we prepare for global expansion, having Matt onboard will be instrumental in helping us shape our product roadmap in order to help realise our mission for real-time payments everywhere.”
