Clear Street bolsters technology leadership with two new hires
US-based independent prime broker Clear Street has expanded its technology leadership team by appointing Jon Daplyn as chief information officer (CIO) and Hari Godbole as managing director and vice president of engineering.
Joining immediately, Daplyn will lead a team of 150 technologists and report to Clear Street’s co-founder and CEO Chris Pento, while Godbole will handle technology for Clear Street Derivatives, Securities and Finance, and Clearing, Settlement and Custody. He will report to Daplyn in his new role.
Daplyn joins Clear Street from Morgan Stanley, where he spent over 27 years in a number of senior roles, most latterly as head of prime brokerage technology.
Godbole brings more than two decades of experience to his new role, joining from Cantor Fitzgerald, where he served as CIO of Cantor Fitzgerald Secured, CIO of Helix Financial Systems, and chief technology officer of Post Trade Technology. His previous experience includes senior roles at Citi, Fidelity Capital Markets, and JP Morgan.
Commenting on the appointment, Sachin Kumar, Clear Street’s co-founder and CTO, says: “Jon and Hari have the expertise and vision to help guide our organisation as we pioneer a technology-first experience for prime brokerage to compete with the best in the world.”
