Luxhub appoints Geoffroy Gailly as new COO to drive open finance in Europe
Luxhub, the Luxembourg-based open banking API platform, has named industry veteran Geoffroy Gailly as its new chief operating officer (COO) and “authorised manager”.
Described as a “seasoned information technology professional” who has been an active figure in Luxembourg’s financial services industry for the last quarter of a century, Gailly will lead the company’s operational efficiency, functioning processes and its products and services in his new role.
He will work to “ensure the smooth operation of a business-critical 24×7 service delivery based on Luxhub’s platform and IT infrastructure” while promoting a culture of “accountability, collaboration and innovation” throughout the company.
Commenting on his appointment, Gailly confirms that his goal is to “enable the further development of the company, leaning on past successes but more importantly on a future-oriented vision”.
In light of the European Commission’s proposals to bring open finance into the mainstream, which were brought forward in June, Gailly will serve the specific purpose of developing Luxhub’s operating models and strategy while setting out a roadmap that supports the open finance push within the continent.
Prior to joining Luxhub, he served as managing partner Luxembourg for the consultancy Noveo Conseil from January 2019 and as partner for KPMG Luxembourg from January 2008 to December 2018, among other positions.
Claude Meurisse, CEO of Luxhub, affirms that “Geoffroy will play a key role in shaping the future of our company and driving us towards new ventures”.
“New regulation and the opening of financial data is already creating interesting opportunities that we have started to explore,” Meurisse adds.
