Nutmeg and Chase UK CEO Sanjiv Somani resigns
Sanjiv Somani, a JP Morgan executive of more than seven years and CEO of its entities Nutmeg and Chase in the UK, has resigned from the firm.
According to a Companies House filing, Somani resigned from his roles as head of JP Morgan Europe and Nutmeg Saving and Investment as of 6 August 2023. He remains a director at 10x Banking Technology, the core banking tech supplier to Chase, to which he was appointed on 12 May 2021.
Somani has worked for JP Morgan since April 2016, starting out in the Corporate and Investment Bank management team and progressing to the role of CEO of the company’s digital challenger bank Chase following its launch in the UK in 2021.
He took over as CEO of digital wealth manager Nutmeg from Neil Alexander last year. JP Morgan acquired Nutmeg back in 2021.
AltFi reports that Sanoke Viswanathan, who serves as chief strategy and growth officer of JP Morgan Chase as well as CEO of its International Consumer Bank division, will be taking over from Somani.
