Clearstream migrates regulatory reporting to Regnology’s Rcloud platform
Clearstream Banking AG is ditching on-premise regulatory reporting and moving to the cloud as it signs on to use Regnology’s Rcloud platform.
Headquartered in Luxembourg, Clearstream provides international securities services as the post-trade business of Deutsche Börse Group. As such, the company must adhere to multiple regulatory reporting requirements in both Luxemburg and Germany.
In order to meet these requirements, the business is now migrating its regulatory reporting to the Rcloud platform of Frankfurt-based technology firm Regnology.
Rcloud was the result of Regnology’s November 2022 partnership with Google Cloud, with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) now powering the firm’s cloud capabilities.
With Deutsche Börse Group currently following a hybrid, multi-cloud strategy, Clearstream’s migration to the Rcloud platform will enable it to keep on top of its reporting requirements while benefiting from the platform’s scalability and real-time reporting data.
The platform also claims to support improved deployment and infrastructure-as-code services, run and change management automation, and self-service capabilities via the Regnology Cloud portal.
Maciej Piechocki, Regnology’s chief revenue officer, says Clearstream’s selection of Rcloud “speaks volumes about their trust in our depth of knowledge and the added scalability and performance benefits of our cloud solution”.
Adding to this, Volker Riebesell, chief technology officer at Clearstream Banking AG, confirms that the company is “very satisfied” to be one of the first institutions to sign on to the Rcloud platform as it continues on its cloud adoption journey.
