Seacoast Bank strikes deal with NCR for ATM-as-a-Service solution
Florida-headquartered Seacoast Bank has tapped US enterprise technology provider NCR Corporation to externalise the management of its ATMs and enhance its customer self-service options.
The bank has now adopted NCR’s ATM-as-a-Service (ATMaaS) solution as it outsources the management and maintenance of its ATMs.
Julie Kleffel, Seacoast Bank’s chief banking officer, says the selection of the solution has allowed it to reduce capital expenditure, enhance efficiencies and deliver a higher standard of customer service in its “critically important” self-service channel.
The bank has also joined NCR’s Allpoint Network, a move poised to broadened its customers’ access to cash through the network’s 40,000 surcharge-free ATMs located across the US.
Kleffel recognises how such access is “vital to our customers”, especially during active hurricane seasons when working ATMs are held in high regard.
“Affiliation with the Allpoint Network allows us to scale well beyond Florida, competing with super-regional and national bank brands,” she adds.
Stuart Mackinnon, EVP of ATM group at NCR Banking, confirms that ATMs continue to be “an important touchpoint for customer service and success”.
NCR’s newfound partnership with Seacoast Bank is just one of the long list of announcements made by the technology provider in the last month.
It announced last week that it had made exactly the same arrangement with UnionBank, the ninth largest bank in the Philippines which has also adopted its ATMaaS solution.
It also confirmed the new name of its ATM business last month, which is set to be called NCR Atleos, as part of the division of its ATM and digital commerce businesses.
