German fintech start-up Monite bolsters leadership team with new hires
Berlin-based embedded finance start-up Monite has made three new appointments to its leadership team.
Dan Osburn, former VP of product at Marqeta, joins the company as chief product officer. With more than 15 years of experience, Monite hopes to leverage Osburn’s expertise in scaling product teams at firms that have grown from start-ups to large public companies.
Commenting on his new role at Monite, Osburn says: “Our vision centers around offering an expansive and unified suite of financial products to B2B platforms, with a strong emphasis on user experience.”
Monite has also appointed former KodyPay COO and founding team member of Atom Bank, Sophie Haagensen, as its new chief of staff. In her new role, she will be tasked with overseeing Monite’s strategy, execution and operations as it aims to grow from a start-up to a scale-up.
Additionally, Monite has also appointed Hoang Pham as head of marketing. Pham joins from Dutch paytech firm Mollie, where he served as head of growth for over six years.
Monite says the appointments reflect the firm’s ambitions to expand its footprint across the EU and UK, as well as into the US market “and beyond”. In March, it doubled its seed funding to raise a total of $10 million.
