Rimes supports digital transformation of Jana with Matrix solution
Jana has selected the Rimes Matrix solution as a key component of its five-year digital transformation programme.
The Australia-based asset management consultancy firm has gone live with the solution in an effort to streamline and automate its operational processes.
Jana is Australia’s largest investment consulting organisation and a partner to many of the country’s leading institutional investors. Since its inception in 1987, the firm has remained fully management owned and has expanded its reach to over 80 institutional clients. As of 31 December 2022, it has over A$1.4 trillion in funds under advice.
“The implementation is already enabling us to better service our customers, minimise risk and confidently scale the business to ensure we always remain aligned with their changing needs,” comments Ann-Mary Rajanayagam, the firm’s general manager of technology and data.
The Matrix platform offers an end-to-end solution that combines managed data services and analytics technology for asset owners, institutional investors, asset managers and service providers.
For Rimes, a New York-headquartered enterprise data management partner to the global investment community, the Matrix solution came under its remit following its October 2021 acquisition of Matrix IDM, an Australia-based investment data management platform, for an undisclosed sum.
At the time, Rimes CEO, Brad Hunt, described the acquisition as “a new era in the provision of data management solutions”.
“With Matrix IDM, we can offer an end-to-end solution that will enhance performance across our clients’ enterprise – from investment research to performance management to regulatory reporting,” he says.
“In addition, the Matrix team brings an in-depth understanding of data management, sector knowledge, and proven technical prowess. These attributes will help us to significantly accelerate the opportunities that the combined MDS and Matrix offering will deliver.”
