La Banque Postale picks Ebury for international SME transfers
La Banque Postale, the financial services offshoot of the French postal service, has selected Ebury for to enable international account transfers.
Ebury will activate foreign currency accounts for La Banque Postale. Business users can carry out spot exchange transactions in 140 currencies, and make international transfers.
This solution focuses on international trade operations involving goods import and export. According to Ebury, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in France generate 20% of their turnover from exports.
The partnership is part of La Banque Postale’s 2030 strategic plan, aimed at diversifying and developing its offerings.
Serge Bayard, La Banque Postale deputy CEO for corporate and investment banking, says the deal underlines the bank’s goals.
“This project illustrates our ambition to become a reference banking partner for businesses by 2025 through innovative digitised paths.”
He adds: “This partnership with Ebury allows us to support our SME customers with an integrated, secure and efficient open banking solution.”
