Three US credit unions pick Bankjoy for mobile and online banking
Three US credit unions has selected online and mobile provider Bankjoy to revamp their legacy infrastructure.
The three credit unions are Minnesota-based Estacado Federal Credit Union, California-based Prospectors Credit Union, and Discovery Credit Union from Pennsylvania.
Combined the three institutions have more than 21,000 members and $280 million in assets.
Estacado Federal Credit Union CEO Mark Roddenberry says that the firm was looking for “a more advanced internet and mobile banking system”, which could operate autonomously with members having “the ability to open, fund, and transact business with minimal credit union involvement.”
He adds: “Bankjoy is giving Estacado a big advantage by not forcing younger members to have to go to a computer to start their internet experience; they can easily start the process on their smartphone.”
Bankjoy CEO Michael Duncan says that his firm is “pleased” to see Estacado, Discovery, and Prospectors “leveraging our technology to appeal to younger members”, which he believes will allow them to lay a solid foundation for the future.
“In addition, many people today don’t have regular access to computer – especially those who live or working remote locations. Our mobile app takes care of all that and more. We look forward to seeing these credit unions excel over the next few years. They definitely get it.”
Bankjoy announced that four other credit unions has picked up its technology earlier this month, revamping legacy systems in charge of more than $724 million.
I want to remove Bankjoy from my phone because it doesn’t offer everything the Pyramid FCU app offers…..but I don’t know how. I’m not even sure how it got into my phone in the first place. This is not good.
