FinovateAsia Best of Show winners announced
Finovate has hosted its annual FinovateAsia conference this week in the Marina Mandarin in Singapore. It makes it the second time the conference has been held in the Southeast Asian island city-state, where it first launched FinovateAsia.
“We are thrilled to be back in the Garden City to showcase and celebrate the latest in fintech innovation,” says David Penn, reporter at Finovate.
This year, the fintech demos were held on the second day of the conference on 15 October, whilst the first day focused on keynote addresses, roundtables, and power panels discussing some of the key trends in the Asian fintech.
At the end of the last demo, the winners of the FinovateAsia, ‘Best of Show Awards’ were announced. Only audience members not associated with demoing companies were eligible to vote and attendees were encouraged to note their favorites during each day on the basis of demo quality and potential impact of the innovation demoed.
“With the final votes cast and all the ballots counted, it is clear that two companies stood out from the pack. Here they are – and congratulations to them: the winners of Best of Show for FinovateAsia 2019,” says Penn.
Bereev won the award for its end-of-life planning app that helps individuals and families prepare for the loss of a loved one, whilst The WAAY took the award for its Lifestyle Assistant that communicates personalised lifesyle content to the bank’s customers, based on their deep behavioral profiling
