Nationwide to open innovation centre in London
Nationwide’s new innovation centre in London unveiled
Nationwide Building Society, UK’s largest building society, is opening a new digital and technology innovation centre in London, reports Jane Connolly.
The timescale for the opening has not been revealed. But Nationwide has stated the new centre, based in Holborn, will accommodate around 1,000 people.
The building society will be starting a recruitment drive to fill about 750 new digital, data and technology roles over the coming months.
Joe Garner, Nationwide CEO, says: “With growing demand for our services, this is about recruiting skills and experience into Nationwide, alongside developing talent from within our current workforce, so that we have the broad range of skills needed to deliver the society’s digital and data transformation strategy.”
Staff at the new centre will work to build on the society’s existing technology and create new platforms to meet the digital needs of customers.
