Arab Tunisian Bank in front-to-back office tech overhaul with Temenos
Arab Tunisian Bank (ATB), a top five bank in Tunisia, has embarked on a major front-to-back office overhaul with Temenos as software supplier and Information Technologies Solutions & Services (ITSS) as implementation partner.
The bank will implement Temenos Infinity, a newly-launched digital front office product, and Temenos T24 Transact (the vendor’s flagship core banking system, newly rebranded). It will also implement Temenos Payments Hub and the vendor’s Advanced Analytics and Financial Crime Mitigation (FCM) software.
Temenos explains it was selected “for its packaged model bank functionality and advanced cloud technology to meet ATB’s objectives, which are to increase revenues by 40% in 2020, and double the total number of deposits with new product launches”.
The aforementioned ITSS, a long-standing partner of Temenos, will bring its “global experience and local expertise in Tunisia for a fast and predictable implementation”, the vendor adds.
“Tunisia is quickly embracing the new digital world, and banking is no exception,” comments Mohamed Ferid Ben Tanfous, CEO of ATB. “Temenos’ end-to-end digital banking platform will enable us to offer enhanced, personalised digital experiences for our customers and become a global business partner for customers by developing new lines of business – a key priority at ATB.”
He adds that the bank’s digital transformation will help it fulfil its “mission to contribute to the economic and financial development of Tunisia”.
ATB has 132 branches, 1,300 employees, and a balance sheet total of TND 6.4 billion ($2.1 billion).
