Bnext launches travel insurance
BNext, the Spanish challenger bank following in the footsteps of Monzo, has launched its own travel insurance in partnership with InterMundial.
The insurance is fully digital and can be hired with “just a few clicks” on the app.
This new offering is meant to complement the international capabilities of the BNext card, which doesn’t charge fees for payments or money withdrawals abroad.
“We wanted to launch an affordable product that can be hired easily and in a transparent way, so whoever is buying flight tickets can hire insurance straight on the spot,” says Jacobo Miralles, head of data, engagement and monetisation at Bnext.
The product offers 24-hour assistance in Spanish – the native language of the bank’s customers, as well as reimbursement and coverage for medical costs, or lost goods.
In 2018, Bnext closed a financing round of €1.5 million with the aim of reaching 100,000 active customers – which it is incentivising with a €10 gift on sign up under referral.
FinTech Futures understands that Bnext is using a third-party licence. We have got in touch with the bank and are awaiting reply and comment.
