Company on the Move: TOC, FIDO Alliance
Chilean biometrics company TOC has joined the FIDO Alliance, the association aiming to develop global standards for online authentication based on methods that are more secure than simple passwords. The first Latin American company to join FIDO, TOC operates in Chile and other countries in South America, providing fingerprint authentication for client companies in the banking, retail and notary verticals, among others. In addition to signing on with FIDO, TOC earlier this year joined the Biometrics Institute, an international partnership promoting responsible use of biometrics through global standards. TOC also was the first Latin America-based member of the Biometrics Institute.
