People on the Move: Carl J. Williams, Planet Payment Inc.
Planet Payment Inc., a Long Beach, N.Y.-based payments processor, has appointed Carl J. Williams CEO. A member of the board of directors and the company’s president since November 2013, he has been asked by the board also to serve as CEO. Williams succeeds Philip Beck, who will continue as chairman.
Planet Payment’s centrally hosted transaction platform manages the global connectivity and interaction between consumers, merchants, banks and the payment networks. Planet Payment has offices in Atlanta, Beijing, Bermuda, Delaware, Dubai, Dublin, London, Hong Kong, Mexico City, Shanghai and Singapore.
