Prosper Marketplace Inc., parent company of peer-to-peer lending marketplace Prosper Funding LLC, has announced that Raj Date, former deputy director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, has joined its board. Date is currently managing partner at Fenway Summer, a consumer finance advisory and investment firm based in Washington D.C. Before joining the federal government, he was chairman and executive director of the Cambridge Winter Center for Financial Institutions Policy, a think tank focused on financial reform.
