Lone Star Credit Union live with new core banking system, Keystone
Texas-based Lone Star Credit Union has become the 50th live site for the Keystone core processing system, supplied by Corelation.
The project started in 2016.
“We understand change is not always easy,” Lone Star CU tells its members on its website, “but the changes we made have opened our doors to future possibilities and empowered us to deliver highly requested services – including mobile banking, mobile deposit, and account alerts – into your hands.”
It adds that as with any major system conversion, “some hiccups are to be expected”. Some customers were unable to get through to the call centre “due to a busy signal”.
“Our member service centre assisted members with more than 2,300 phone calls in five days,” the credit union says.
In parallel, the credit union has also introduced new online and mobile banking solutions. Within ten days of launching digital banking services, 3,000 customers enrolled in the new online banking system, it says. Of these, 29% also downloaded and started using the mobile banking app.
