Nationwide bowled over by cloud software from Cutover
The UK’s Nationwide Building Society has opted for release management software from cloud technology start-up Cutover.
The deal means London-based Cutover will be the “first completely cloud-based tool with no footprint within Nationwide’s infrastructure”. Cutover’s software lets teams plan, rehearse and execute events. It also offers real-time status visualisation and communications across SMS, voice and email messaging.
As Banking Technology reported last year, Nationwide “successfully” tested Cutover’s software during digital banking maintenance.
Matt Cox, Nationwide’s head of insight and innovation, says Cutover is a “fantastically intuitive solution to work with, which will enable us to standardise deployment practice and communication across the business”.
Ky Nichol, CEO of Cutover, adds: “Starting work with Nationwide is an important milestone for us as we grow from our origins in the UK and Europe to opening in New York in 2018.”
Nationwide has now approved Cutover for use in delivering all upgrades to corporate systems from May 2017.
Nationwide says its latest partnership follows on from a third year of involvement with the FinTech Innovation Lab London, a 12-week mentorship programme developed by Accenture connecting start-ups with senior bank and insurance executives to “help them fine-tune and develop their technologies and business models”.
