International Regtech Association launched
International Regtech Association (IRTA) is a new worldwide industry body with over 100 founding members.
The chair is Subas Roy, ex-global regtech head at EY.
There are three vice-chairs responsible for different geographies: Patrick Barnet, CEO of regtech solutions provider Qumram, looks after Europe; Matt Elton, CEO of management consultancy FinnoLux, is responsible for the Americas; and Julian Fenwhick, founder and CEO of online legal compliance training provider GRC Solutions, looks after Australia.
The executive board consists of regtech specialists from across a number of sectors, including lawyers, consultants and software/solutions providers.
“We are a non-profit organisation set out to unify the voice of regtech globally, and help to create and maintain our collaborative ecosystem,” Roy states.
The initiative has been a year in the making.
“IRTA exists to ease and accelerate the evolution of regtech,” the company says on its newly launched website.
It calls on “anyone with an interest in the future of the industry: regtech, fintech and technology solution providers, government agencies, service providers and consultancies, regulated financial institutions, academia and individuals” to join.
