Bank ABC revamps digital channels with Backbase
Bahrain-based Bank ABC is modernising its digital channels for retail and wholesale banking customers with Backbase’s tech.
Bank ABC (which stands for Arab Banking Corporation) has a significant international footprint in 18 markets across MENA, Europe, Asia and the Americas. It provides conventional and Islamic banking services.
The first phase of the project focuses on the bank’s retail business in Jordan and wholesale in Bahrain.
Backbase’s Omnichannel Banking Platform supports current accounts, savings, fund transfers, payee management, loans, bill payment, ATM/branch locators and card services at the bank.
Sael Al Waary, group deputy CEO of Bank ABC, describes the Middle East as a “very dynamic” region where “technology is rapidly changing the banking landscape”.
“Our new digital platform ensures that not only will we continue to have a competitive advantage in this evolving landscape, but that we have put everything in place to succeed in our global digitalisation expansion,” he states.
