Digital gets a spurt with Natwest and RBS experts
To raise awareness about online and mobile banking and help customers use digital platforms, NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) say they aim to deploy a “TechXpert” at every branch in England, Scotland, and Wales.
NatWest is part of the RBS group, and at 1,000 NatWest and 2,000 RBS branches, these experts will help customers activate their online and mobile banking accounts, demonstrate how to use them, and advise on cybersecurity measures.
Jane Howard, MD of branch and private banking at Royal Bank of Scotland, says: “Banking is almost unrecognisable from what it was when I started my career in a branch 36 years ago. While more customers than ever before are taking advantage of the convenience and simplicity of mobile and online banking some people need further support.”
Further to all this, almost 1,500 RBS and 10,000 NatWest branch staff will be trained so they’re up to date with the technology that the bank offers – and so help better serve customers who seek assistance or advice.
