Banque Libano-Francaise live with Validata ABC for release automation
Banque Libano-Francaise (BLF) has gone live with the Validata ABC continuous delivery platform.
The Lebanese bank is a long-standing (and at times long-suffering) user of the Temenos’ T24 core banking platform.
Validata says its solution will “accelerate the delivery of the development and shorten the quality control and release phases of the bank’s T24 projects and improve the quality of the overall deliverables”.
Validata ABC was integrated with BLF’s legacy workflow automation system – IBM Clearquest –“in an effort to protect its previous investments and keep track of the existing workflows”, the vendor adds.
The first live project for automated development and release management took place at BLF’s branch in Iraq.
Ghassan Sawaya, head of IT at BLF, compliments Validata’s technology and domain expertise, as well as the system’s “tight integration with T24” and the vendor’s “commitment to innovative”.
Sawaya goes on to say that the bank has already been able to achieve a number of “strategic benefits”, namely faster releases, code tracking and re-usability, and code safety.
BLF has a network of 56 branches and 157 ATMs in Lebanon, and international operations in Nigeria, France, Cyprus, Switzerland, Syria, Iraq and the UAE. It offers commercial, retail, investment, private and correspondent banking services.
