Citi’s institutional clients in APAC can now ditch their physical login tokens
Citi’s institutional e-banking platform, CitiDirect BE, will now use MobilePASS which lets corporate users replace their physical login tokens with their personal mobile devices for authentication.
MobilePASS is an app-based soft token that lets users generate dynamic passcodes on their smartphones, even without any network connectivity. This passcode can be used to log in to Citi’s platforms – CitiDirect BE, CitiDirect BE Tablet, and CitiDirect BE Mobile. Moving to a smartphone-based solution also helps create a convenient omnichannel experience for Citi’s corporate users, the bank says.
The MobilePASS application can be downloaded from the Apple App Store, Blackberry World, Google Play and Windows Stores. Users can also use additional device security features, such as PIN, and swipe and fingerprint ID, to further secure MobilePASS on their smartphones.
“This solution is an important part of our continuous effort led by Citi Innovation Lab to bring best-in-class digitised experience to our clients,” states Keng-Mun Lee, Asia Pacific head of channel and enterprise services, treasury and trade solutions at Citi.
“MobilePASS is easy to use and improves the login experience for users of all levels within the organisation – from CFOs who need to view transaction analytics, to corporate treasurers who approve transactions on the go, to personnel who need to connect from the office or work from home. In addition, it enhances the security of their login process, whilst complying with applicable local regulatory requirements.”
