F10 accelerator programme calls for fintech start-ups
F10, a Swiss incubator and accelerator, is offering two six-month programmes for up to 20 start-ups to turn their prototypes into sellable products. Participation for the selected start-ups is free.
After opening its “prototype to product” (P2) programme’s winter session on 7 November, F10 now wants applications for its next round in 2017.
Markus Graf, head of F10, was “deeply impressed” at the level of the pitches that were presented by the first batch and is “looking forward” to the new applications.
Throughout the six-month period, the start-up teams will attend lessons and workshops grouped into five units: vision, team and strategy; business, product and technology; marketing and sales; legal and regulations; and demo day and graduation.
The programme can be partially completed online/offsite, with only certain dates requiring actual onsite presence at F10’s office in Zurich. The teams will be allocated coaches from F10 and external mentors to help them.
By the end of the programme, F10 says the teams will have gained experience of the financial industry and contact to major financial players. Start-ups will have access to the F10 association members’ global network of banks; and SIX, Julius Bär, PwC Switzerland, regulators, angel investors and venture capitalists.
Applications can be made on the firm’s website. Dates for the next session in 2017 are as follows:
- Application period: 1 December (2016) – 28 April
- Selection period: 29 April – 6 June
- Programme: 3 July – 7 December
F10 says it does not take equity in the firms that participate in the programme.
