Jordan Ahli Bank live with Temenos T24 core banking system
Jordan Ahli Bank is live with new core banking software, Temenos’ T24. The go-live is a result of a four-year effort, Banking Technology understands.
The bank opted for Temenos’ Arrangement Architecture (AA) with Temenos Application Framework Java (TAFJ). The new platform ousted a host of legacy systems, including the Bank2000 core, China Systems’ Eximbills (trade finance) and Sungard/FIS’s Ambit Treasury Management.
It also has been running a separate core system in its Palestinian subsidiary, Banks, supplied by regional vendor ICSFS, for nearly a decade. Banking Technology understands that this system has been retained and not replaced by T24.
The migration project involved testing specialist Validata, which provided its ATS, V-Conn and Performance Tester tools.
T24 interfaces to the bank’s digital front-end platform, supplied by an Ireland-based specialist vendor, Ubanquity Systems.
Jordan Ahli Bank (formerly Jordan National Bank) is the oldest bank in Jordan and the third largest by assets. It has 50+ branches in Jordan and a presence in Lebanon, Cyprus and Palestine.
