Tullett Prebon teams with GMEX for trading platform launch
Inter-dealer money broker Tullett Prebon has partnered with GMEX Group to develop a hybrid voice and electronic trading platform for FX Options.
The new FX Options trading solution will integrate GMEX’s request for quote (RFQ) technology with Tullett Prebon’s existing central limit order book (CLOB) capability.
GMEX Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GMEX Group, supported by its development partner Forum Trading Solutions, will provide its bespoke trading system and market surveillance for the FX Options trading platform.
Hirander Misra, CEO of GMEX Group and chairman of Forum Trading Solutions, says the platform will “help Tullett Prebon meet the business challenges of the new regulatory landscape through fintech innovation by ensuring voice and electronic operations work seamlessly together”.
From Belfast to Vietnam
Recently, Tullett Prebon and GMEX were involved in two separate deals.
Tullett Prebon opened a new tech centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to boost innovation and increase its IT capacity. The centre will serve as a global hub for the group’s IT operations and is also designed to “accelerate the introduction of new products to market”.
GMEX Group partnered with Hanoi-based FPT Information System to launch the first derivatives market and “fully integrated” clearing house in Vietnam. The target go-live date is Q4 2016.
