Boston Trust selects SS&C for outsourcing services
Boston Trust & Investment Management Company has selected SS&C Technologies’ Advent Outsourcing Services for hosting and data management.
As part of the agreement, SS&C will provide portfolio accounting and reporting, trade order management, compliance and revenue management via products such as Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX), Moxy, Advent Rules Manager, and Advent Revenue Center.
Kenneth Pickering, director of operations at Boston Trust, says: “The SS&C suite offers both flexibility in terms of solutions available, and, by combining the technology with expert technical and operational services, allows Boston Trust the foundation from which to focus on our core competencies.”
Boston Trust is an employee-owned investment management firm with $7.3 billion in client assets under management.
SS&C provides investment and financial software-enabled services and software for the global financial services industry. Founded in 1986, SS&C is headquartered in Windsor, Connecticut and has offices around the world.
Its APX front-to-back office system has a customer base of around 45 asset, investment and wealth management entities in the US. Users include Athena Capital Advisors, Cortina Asset Management, Midwest Trust Company and Wells Capital Management (a dedicated institutional asset manager within the Wells Fargo Asset Management umbrella).
The Advent suite of solutions (which includes APX) came SS&C’s way via the acquisition of Advent Software, a well-established provider in the wealth and investment management space. The acquisition, which was completed last year and cost $2.7 billion, became SS&C’s largest to date.
In a separate and recent deal, London-based advisory firm Alpima selected SS&C’s APX and Moxy solutions to underpin its digital advisory business.
