Sberbank builds new digital product, Sberbank Messenger
Russia’s banking giant, Sberbank, has unveiled a new digital product, Sberbank Messenger – a communication platform for users to interact with friends and colleagues as well as with services providers, shops and businesses.
It can be a person-to-person communication or by using artificial intelligence (AI) applications.
The solution will be in beta testing later this year and the bank is calling on consumers and businesses to participate.
“We will be launching closed beta testing of the service in August and are inviting users and businesses to take part, including service providers, stores, aggregators and developers,” says Svyatoslav Ostrovsky, head of Sberbank’s Bank XXI Department. The results will also help the bank to improve other digital products, he adds.
Sberbank Messenger was built using the bank’s well-established online platform, Sberbank Online.
It enables users to “easily find, select and order goods and services from reliable companies, talk with sales representatives and receive personalised special offers”, according to Sberbank.
The bank highlights the application’s smart search function that “finds the most suitable contacts for each request”. It analyses information about the user and his/her needs and preferences as well as the person’s geolocation, transaction data and habits.
