Robotic automation software vendor OpenSpan acquired by Pegasystems
US-based developer of CRM and BPM software, Pegasystems, has acquired OpenSpan.
The acquisition, says Pegasystems, “brings robotics, analytics and case management together to enable more productive employees and better customer experience”.
OpenSpan, based in the US state of Georgia, specialises in robotics process automation and workforce analytics software. The company says it is currently running on “more than 200,000 desktops at leading global enterprises”.
In the financial services space, the majority of OpenSpan’s customers are US-based and include entities such as BankWest, Fannie Mae, Keybank, Associated Bank and BMO Harris Bank.
Eric Musser, CEO, OpenSpan, says that over the past 11 years his company “has helped introduce the power of robotics and desktop intelligence to mainstream business.
“But this is just the tip of the iceberg of what analytics and robotics can really do. By integrating with Pegasystems’ proven applications and platform, we believe we can advance robotic automation and desktop analytics in exciting new directions that will change the way businesses interact with their customers.”
