UK paytech Thredd makes three senior appointments for product and APAC expansion
UK-based paytech Thredd has reinforced its leadership team with three new senior appointments, each poised to enhance the payments platform’s capabilities, drive the expansion of its credit product, and spearhead client initiatives across the APAC region.
Patricia Haynes joins Thredd as SVP of platform, Hazel Oh as VP of account management APAC, and Faran Taher as VP of credit.
Haynes previously served as senior director of software engineering at LexisNexis Risk Solutions, before going on to lead risk management and process improvements for challenger bank Zopa as VP of technology operations and delivery.
The remit of her latest appointment will be to “ensure Thredd’s platform capabilities remain robust, scalable, and responsive to evolving market demands”, according to a company statement.
Oh, based in Singapore, joins Thredd’s regional leadership team directly from Citi, where she headed the bank’s commercial travel product portfolio across 12 markets.
Now Oh is expected to leverage her “extensive network” in APAC to “enhance Thredd’s regional client success initiatives”.
Taher, on the other hand, will work to “drive Thredd’s credit product expansion and operational excellence”, leveraging his previous experience leading multiple cross-functional teams as general manager of credit cards at Paceline.
Jim McCarthy, CEO of Thredd since October 2023, says the expertise of the three new hires will “be integral as we continue to deliver modern issuer processing solutions”.
The technological development of these solutions is currently led by former Dayrize chief Edwin Poot, who was hired as global CTO of Thredd in March.
Going forward, Sharyn Wilson, Thredd’s chief people officer, reveals that the company plans to continue expanding its team across “geographies and functional” areas next year.
