FirstOntario Credit Union modernises digital banking channels with Temenos Digital
FirstOntario Credit Union is moving from its legacy front-end platform to Temenos Digital. The new solution will support the credit union’s online and mobile channels for consumers and small businesses.
The software supplier, Temenos, says its solution “allows FirstOntario a comprehensive 360-degree view of its members to deliver personalised services”.
FirstOntario already uses Temenos’ core banking solution, which was implemented in 2017. T24, as the system was known at the time, replaced Fiserv’s Signature.
The vendor says the integration of the front and back office solutions “will streamline operations, reduce complexity, and enable more efficient management of technology”. The new platform will also be used by Saven Financial and Creative Arts Financial, both divisions of the credit union.
Lloyd Smith, CEO of FirstOntario, describes Temenos as “a trusted partner” and Temenos Digital as “an exciting step forward in our innovation journey”.
With 133,000 members and $7 billion in assets under management, FirstOntario is one of the largest credit unions in Canada. It offers accounts for everyday banking, mortgages, lines of credit, loans and investments.
