BCA Syariah goes live with Thought Machine’s Vault Core
BCA Syariah, a subsidiary of Bank Central Asia (BCA), one of Indonesia’s largest banks, has gone live with banking tech vendor Thought Machine’s cloud-based core banking platform, Vault Core.
The bank, headquartered in Jakarta, offers a number of Sharia-compliant Islamic banking products and services for customers in Indonesia.
Since adopting Vault Core, BCA Syariah has already introduced several new products, including a top-up e-wallet, Wadiah savings, and an online Hajj Fee Deposit service.
The Indonesian bank is also planning to launch gold financing and term deposit products in the near future.
Lukman Hadiwidjaja, director of BCA Syariah, states that Thought Machine’s “Universal Product Engine allows us to create Sharia-compliant products with precision and swift responsiveness to evolving customers’ needs”.
BCA Syariah joins a growing list of financial institutions partnering with Thought Machine for its Shariah-compliant solutions, including Ethos, a UK-based Islamic and ethical finance company that selected the vendor in July.
