Bank of Valletta taps Profile Software for investment management solution
Bank of Valletta (BOV), Malta’s oldest and largest financial institution, has selected Profile Software to upgrade its portfolio management and investment services operations.
Through the partnership, BOV will leverage the Greece-based vendor’s Axia Suite, following in the footsteps of Jamaican asset management firm MoneyMasters, which implemented the solution in 2023.
Axia Suite is expected to support the bank’s investment services with client profiling, administrative and centralised portfolio management tools.
Furthermore, with single and mass order bulking, the platform will enable BOV to handle investment transactions on behalf of clients.
BOV will also leverage the solution’s advanced features, including risk management, portfolio modelling and rebalancing, fee calculations, and performance tracking.
Founded in 1974, BOV offers a wide range of services including private banking, fund management, stockbroking, bancassurance and investment banking, and maintains a network of 44 branches.
Last year, the bank collaborated with Resistant AI, a Prague-based fintech specialising in financial crime prevention, to reinforce its anti-money laundering (AML) framework.
BOV integrated Resistant AI’s Transaction Forensics tool to more effectively detect and stop transactions related to money laundering or sanctions violations.
