Toss Securities promotes Gyubin Kim to CEO
Toss Securities, the brokerage arm of Toss app operator Viva Republica, has promoted its head of product, Gyubin Kim, to CEO.

Kim takes the company reigns from Seungyeon Kim, who has served the leadership position since April last year.
In a LinkedIn post, the outgoing CEO noted that during his tenure, the company hired more than 100 new employees and achieved $50 million in net income.
Launched in 2021, Toss Securities is a South Korean investment platform that provides an integrated account service, enabling over 6.3 million users to trade various financial instruments from a single app.
The new company boss initially joined Viva Republica in 2020, having transitioned from his role as product manager at eBay Korea. He rose to become Toss Securities’ head of product in March 2023.
He is credited with expanding the firm’s product range, facilitating its launch of overseas bonds, and introducing Toss Securities PC and its suite of online trading services.
Dongwan Ko has been appointed as the new head of product at Toss Securities, having previously served as product owner.
