Tompkins Community Bank deploys NCR Atleos’ ATM-as-a-Service
Ithaca-based Tompkins Community Bank has selected NCR Atleos‘ ATM-as-a-Service (ATMaaS) offering to digitise its self-service channels across New York and Pennsylvania.
The $7.8 billion-asset bank has designated the management of its ATM fleet to Atleos, which first started offering its ATMaaS solution following a $2.5 billion takeover of ATM operator Cardtronics in 2021.
This remit includes all hardware, software cash management and processing related to Tompkins’ self-service channels, and also encompasses logical security and machine installation.
According to Martin Cross, SVP and banking operations manager at Tompkins, the software selection is “enabling us to quickly offer new features” and “simultaneously benefit from reduced complexities and staff time freed for more meaningful, customer-facing activities”.
Founded in 1836, Tompkins operates as a full-service financial institution, specialising in consumer and business financing while also providing investment, wealth and community engagement services.
The bank joins a growing list of US-based financial institutions adopting Atleos’ ATMaaS solution this year, including Grow Financial Federal Credit Union, Arizona Financial Credit Union, Black Hills Federal Credit Union and, most recently, NuMark Credit Union in Illinois.
